Crowd Test
I have been trying to work out how i am going to make the protesters. These are two tests the first test is just using the basic Max Bipeds. I Animated around 30 in a row all doing the same walk but starting a different times. I then layered them in after effects.
The second test i used Low polygon architectural models rigged to Bipeds and repeated the animation. I think this works quite well but i need the to be more rowdy to so i need to do a bit of work on the animation Loop. i also need to make sure the people walk past the camera, instead of stopping just in front and then disappearing.

Puppets
The Boom Ting blog.. has had its third wind. This time i really am going to try and keep updated. So now we have to make a film?
I have found French a theatre company called "Royal De Luxe" they make huge puppets and put on performances in various Cities around the world. They were in London back in 2 double 0 6 and i think there last show was in Berlin last autumn.
I really like the design and the scale of them. I am also really keen to learn how to animate so i was thinking about somehow weaving the large puppets in some form of another into my narrative. I have two worries, the first is a technical one as i have never really animated before so it may just end up looking rubbish and secondly they may distract from some of the political statements and messages linked with my project.

Matte Painting Tests
These are my first attempts at Matte Painting. In the first test I have taken one of my collages from the term and converted it into 2.5D, with a simple camera movement. In the second test i have animated 3D objects and placed them into the scene. I think in my final animation this year i want to have a go at some character animation so matte painting seems a good way to link my 3D information with the collages i really enjoyed doing at the start of the year.
